XTapDown is a free toolkit for people who post on X (Twitter) — 17 tools, no account, no paywall. This page covers who builds it, how it actually works, and where its limits are.
What XTapDown Is
XTapDown launched in June 2026 as a free X (Twitter) creator toolkit. It bundles 17 tools across four jobs: saving content (video, GIF, image and full tweet archives, with thread support), research (advanced search builder, a 30-plus operator cheatsheet, viral tweet discovery), writing (character counter with X's real weighted-length rules, thread splitter, hook library, font generator), and measurement (engagement rate and Creator Ads revenue calculators, live trends and best-posting-time data for 16 countries).
Every tool works without an account. There is no free tier and no paid tier — there is just the tool.
Who Builds It

XTapDown is operated by Leono Global LTD and was built by its founder, Ömer Faruk Kolip, a solo founder based in Istanbul. He builds, ships, monitors and iterates his own products end to end across several domains — writing the code, running the infrastructure, and reading the analytics himself. There is no team, no outside funding, and no growth department.

How the Tools Actually Work
The download and archive tools read public data through X's syndication endpoint — the same public JSON service that powers embedded tweets on other websites. No login, no scraping of private surfaces, no API keys.
This sets a hard boundary on what is possible. Protected accounts, private tweets, deleted posts and direct messages are inaccessible and cannot be retrieved, by XTapDown or by anyone using it. If a tool tells you a post cannot be fetched, that is the reason.
Processing happens either in your browser or through a stateless proxy. Tweets you paste are not stored, queued or logged for later use. The calculators and libraries run entirely client-side on data shipped with the page.
Why It Stays Free
The tools cost very little to run. There is no per-user infrastructure, no database of accounts, and no support burden that scales with usage — so there is no cost curve that forces a paywall.
XTapDown is also available as an MCP server (xtapdown-mcp), which exposes 14 of the tools to Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline and any other MCP client. That is free and open source too.
What We Won't Do
- Require an account to use a tool.
- Bypass privacy settings, or attempt to reach protected or deleted content.
- Sell, share or resell the tweets and URLs you paste into the tools.
- Publish engagement figures or benchmark data without saying where they come from.
- Claim any affiliation with X Corp. XTapDown is an independent third-party utility.
The TapDown Family
XTapDown is one of several per-platform toolkits sharing a brand and an operator: TikTapDown for TikTok and Instapdown for Instagram. They share design language and a publishing pipeline, but each runs independently — a change on one does not affect the others.
